Nathan & Vivian, so very very sorry to hear of your loss. Know that your cruising family around the world loves you and has you in our thoughts and prayers. mj
You two are amazing, Nathan - thanks for the heartfelt snapshot of your “life in narrative.” I know you’ve been each others’ strength through a tough time and some big challenges. Sounds like Mike and Meagan heard the call and knew they where they needed to be - old friends are the best! Sail on - and take it easy on Ultima! - I need her in one piece in October 🤙🏽 Cheers, JP
Love hearing your stories! We miss you guys so much and reading about your adventures makes us so happy! I'll have o and j sign up to this site to read about your next adventures. Sending you both virtual hugs. Can't wait to see you again! Love and miss you both very much!
Thank you Auntie Izy. They don’t have to sign up to read the posts, you can just send them the link and they can follow along. We miss and love you all and hopefully can see you guys when we’re laid up for next cyclone season. 💜
Nathan & Vivian, thank you for having the courage to share your personal loss and the many challenges you’ve recently faced with your sailing friends. I hope you both know how much you are loved and admired by both Michael and I. Wish I was there to give you a heartfelt hug and to let you know how lucky we are to have sailed with you and share our life stories and dreams together. So glad Mike and Meghan were able to be there for you… that’s what friendship is all about! If we can ever do anything for you from afar please don’t hesitate to ask…we’re here for you! We look forward to sailing with you both again in the future when our personal family commitments allow. We have so much love and respect for you both!!! Michael and Sherry
Thanks guys for all the love and support. We miss you both and know that you'll be back when the time is right. We're really glad you get to be near you parents for now. Enjoy the moments and hopefully we'll get to see you sooner than later. <3
Thank you for sharing your ups and downs. My heart goes out to Vivian. I think I was in the Islands with John when you put the hole in your side. I am so glad that all turned out well and that you both are getting the wind back in your sails.
Thanks Dave. We were bummed we couldn't say hi to you while you were here. But things are looking up. Applying epoxy patched up Ultima's hole and our hearts ;). Cheers to you and hope we cross wakes again another time.
Vivian and Nathan, how I wish we were closer to hug on you both during such a difficult time. I am so happy to hear that you are doing better and enjoying your sailing adventures again. I can’t wait to read more about your upcoming passages and also for our upcoming trip to see you! Sending all our love - Angela & the boys
We will miss the little guys but super excited for you guys to take time out of your busy lives to fly to NZ! We can’t wait. It’ll be great to take nice long hikes, eat yummy things and introduce you to our boat lives 🥹. Counting the months down!
Nathan and Vivian, We are so sorry to hear of your loss but also in awe of your resiliency to keep moving forward. Thank you for your courage to share something so vulnerable. I hope one day our paths cross again so Robin and I can give you big hugs. In the meantime, we send virtual hugs and love from afar. -Darren and Robin.
Hi Darren & Robin, thanks for the love, WE MISS YOU GUYS!!! Hope Idaho is treating you both well. Hurry up and stop working so hard so you can come visit us :)
Vivian and Nathan, Thank you for sharing your highs and lows and letting us into your lives. I’m so sorry for your loss, and grateful that your family, friends and community have been there for you to help lighten your load, get through the tough spots, and to celebrate the highs- and for your resilience and courage as you live your dreams!
There just aren’t words to describe how sorry we were to hear your news. Our hearts go out to you!
We also would have loved to have seen you here in the Pacific Northwest. We would love to join you again on Ultima sometime, but probably not in the near future.
Our trip from Panama City to the Galápagos Islands with you was life-changing for us, and we will be forever grateful for that experience.
We wish you the best always as you continue your adventures on the sea.
Oh my goodness, what a story. So sorry to hear of your miscarriage and all the other dramas. Please accept our very best wishes. Hope to catch you in NZ later in the year. Thanks so much for sharing. Paul & Tracy, SV Halcyon Days in New Caledonia.
